I have fished for years in the Missoula area, and I and my friends have been guided by Eric and others with his company many times. I have used numerous guides in other areas across the country and am a devoted fly fisherman. Eric is a true professional and is an extremely dedicated and hard working guide, making the trips memorable, productive and fun. No one knows the Missoula area rivers as well as Eric and his other guides. The Missoula area has many different rivers to fish, and Eric and his other guides know them all and select the best option for that day and your preferences. I have recommended Eric and his guide team numerous times over the years, and each time has led to a successful and special experience. Clay G.

If you have the chance to fish with Eric do it! He will literally go the extra mile to help you catch fish and his knowledge of Montana rivers is unsurpassed. You will never have a better opportunity to have a successful day than fishing with Eric, especially if you enjoy dry fly fishing.

I've fished with Eric and his guides for several years and have never been disappointed. We have had some amazing days with dry fly fishing on the Blackfoot River, which is just a beautiful float even if the fishing slows down. He has the best, hardest working guides in the area.

Fished with Eric the last 10 years and enjoyed every minute of it. He taught one of my good buddies and I how to skate hoppers to trigger monster browns. You can’t beat it for top water action. It’s was so memorable I’ve fished with him every year since. He’s arranged to manage groups of up to 10 people for us and everyone had a good guide and even better experience. I highly recommend booking trips with and through Eric!

We can accept cash, check, Venmo or any major credit card. For credit card transactions, please plan to add 4 percent.

Gratuity

I often have folks ask what the gratuity should be after a day of fly fishing. Here’s a quick bit about tipping your guide:

Your guide likely worked hard to make your trip a success. (If they didn’t, please let me know.) A standard tip is 15–20 percent of the total trip cost. If the guide went above and beyond the scope of your expectations, please tip accordingly.

Fishing guides live hand to mouth and their expenses are quite extensive—insurance, flies, food, equipment maintenance, vehicle wear and tear, to name a few. They will always appreciate whatever you provide!
