The fishing is actually still pretty good. The Clark Fork river has been decent around Missoula with zebra midges in red and black. The venerable San Juan worm has been taking a few fish, too. Temps are supposed to continue to climb as we get closer to the weekend. The Bitterroot is fishing about the same, but you might be able to turn a fish or two on some smaller streamers, especially during the afternoons. The Missouri River is fishing fine with rainbow Czechs, black and purple zebra midges and other assorted dinky flies. The weather on the Mo’ looks like it is going to be very mild for the next week, so this would be a good time to get out there. Plan on a little wind, but the fishing is good. Focus on slower water, rather than the quick stuff.
